Hey, name's Ty. I'm Charlie's best friend, and I'll just lay it all out on the table. I'm gay. I finally came out of the closet two years ago, when we were in 8th grade. I got tired of pretending to like girls. There aren't a lot gay guys at school, but there are a few. But my lips are sealed. It ain't my biz to tell.
Our super SWAP is so friggin' awesome; she's given us this space to like, be who we are. She's not like most adults, which are usually tight-minded and terrified of what people will think of them if they're nice to a gay person. I mean, we're just like everyone else, except we like the same sex. What of it?
Got a secret, but you can't tell Charlie. I have the hots for Hayne, her soon-to-be-boyfriend. I know, pretty messed up, right? He was on my "to-do" list until Charlie finally admitted to liking him. Now I have to back off, but it's not like he's gay anyways.
Anywho, I guess I'll go back to watching the football guys practice in their tight, spandexy pants. There's just something about watching them pound on each other and getting all sweaty. It's like watching the men's Olympics on TV, ah, every gay boy's dream.
Ta-ta for now~ Ty

Characters in Control (C.I.C.)--Charlie
I'm Charlie, C.I.C (characters in control) member. Charlaine Wittingham to be exact, and my creator needed a place for me to exist. Let's call my creator SWAP (secret writer at play) from now on. I'd go with she who'd rather not be named, but that's a little Harry Potterish if you ask me.
My SWAP began writing a YA paranormal book. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know. The YA market is flooded with paranormal. She decided to create this space so we (her characters) would stay out of her head, leaving her with large amounts of mind space to craft more marketable stories. Her words, not mine.
Personally, I think my story is way cooler than her current wip (that's writer lingo for work-in-progress), but I'm merely a character in my SWAP's head. I don't claim to be an expert on what's marketable, but I do know there are a lot of teens out there still craving paranormal books. I know I was, until I began living one, that is.
Apparently, the experts are not so experty. Maybe instead of adults out there trying to guess what a teen wants to read, and then making the decision for them, why don't they just ask them? *shakes head*
Moving on.
Thanks to our SWAP, this is our place, to tell our story. Mine and Hayne LeClaire's. You'll meet him later.
Our story is a love story. A forbidden (according to my overbearing mother) romance, one that's saturated with mystery and animal attraction, well, at least on his part. See he's a shifter. Into what you may be asking yourself, but that's Hayne's story to tell. I don't want to steal his thunder. I promise to give him an opportunity to speak, when I feel like sharing.
Unfortunately, I have to go do homework. If you're thinking because I'm a fictitious character I don't have homework, you're mistaken. I do. Tons. I'll check back in later, and we'll talk some more. Oh, and my SWAP set up an email account for us, just in case you need to reach us. charactersincontrol@gmail.com.
